trintellix is used to treat symptoms of major depressive disorder in adults and help keep symptoms of depression from reoccurring. Trintellix is an antidepressant drug that is used to treat major depressive disorder in adults. This is likely achieved by limiting serotonin reuptake. The medication differentiates itself from other types of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) because it also works to modulate other serotonin receptors.
