What is Zetia (Ezetimibe)?
Zetia, along with diet and exercise are used to lower the amount of cholesterol in your blood. This may be accompanied by other cholesterol medications. This works by decreasing the HDL cholesterol your body absorbs from the food you eat.
High cholesterol can increase your risk of heart disease, heart attack and stroke. Fat deposits in arteries can prevent blood from flowing easily through the body.
