What is Xalatan?
Xalatan Ophthalmic Solution is prescribed to manage pressure in the eye caused by open angle Glaucoma and ocular hypertension. High pressure in the eye can lead to permanent damage, loss of vision and potentially blindness if left untreated. Fluids regularly flow in and outside of the eye as part of its regular, healthy process. Some conditions prevent liquids from leaving the eye causing pressure. Latanoprost helps to regulate the flow of liquids and can help to prevent worsening symptoms.
Xalatan Eye Drops Information
How to use Xalatan eye drops?
Before you begin using Xalatan Eye Drops, carefully read and understand the medication guide provided with the product. When you buy Xalatan online from Your Canada Drug Store, we always send the products in the manufacturer’s packaging. Call your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns as proper use will provide the most benefit.
The typical dose of Xalatan is one drop in each affected eye once a day. Contact lenses should be removed before you apply your dose as they may absorb the dose of medication. You should consider other eye drops if you need more than one to manage your symptoms. When taking other drops, wait a minimum of 15 minutes between doses.
Do not touch the dropper during application and ensure that you wash your hands with water and ensure they are dry. Allowing the dropper to touch your eye or other surfaces can also lead to contamination. Replace the dropper in the bottle after your dose. It doesn't require cleaning or sanitation. Store in room temperature, out of reach of children and animals, when not in use.
This may be used to treat different conditions. If you are unsure why you are taking Xalatan contact your doctor to learn what it is treating.
Do not share prescription medication with friends and family if they have the same symptoms. This may not be a relevant treatment and cause adverse reactions when not counselled by their doctor.
Pregnant women should check with their doctor before using Xalatan to make sure it is safe for unborn children.
Why is Xalatan eye drops given at night?
