Common side effects of Serc/Betahistine are headache, nausea & dyspepsia.
Other side effects of Serc/Betahistine are thrombocytopenia, vomiting, gastrointestinal pain, dry mouth, diarrhea and abdominal bloating. Gastrointestinal side effects can be reduced by taking Serc/Betahistine with a meal.

There are no proven cases of hazardous interactions with Serc/Betahistine.
In theory, concurrent use of Serc/Betahistine with anti-histamines can cause a mutual attenuation of effect resulting in reduced efficacy of both drugs but no such interactions have been reported.
Other possible drug interactions with Serc/Betahistine are ethanol, dapsone, salbutamol and monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO inhibitors) e.g. Selegiline.
