What is Trintfellix?
Trintellix is an antidepressant drug that is used to treat major depressive disorder in adults. This is likely achieved by limiting serotonin reuptake. The medication differentiates itself from other types of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) because it also works to modulate other serotonin receptors. The theory is that Trintellix works by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain.
It is generally suggested in patients that have not experienced significant improvement in their symptoms after trying other types of antidepressants. The medication is available in oral tablet form.
You should always take Trintellix (and your other medications) in accordance with your doctor’s directions. Trintellix is usually taken just once a day. Ideally, it should be taken around the same time a day. It does not matter if Trintellix is taken with or without food.
