    What is Simbrinza?

Simbrinza is an eye drop prescribed to treat ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. These conditions are a result of increased pressure in the eye. If left untreated it can cause damage to the eye or even blindness. Water flows in and out of the eye as part of its usual, healthy function. When water does not leave the eye properly it can build-up and cause pressure. The combination of drugs in Simbrinza helps to lower the amount of fluid in the eye.

    Simbrinza Eye Drops Information

    Simbrinza dosage

The usual dose of Simbrinza is 3 drops of the affected per day. Your doctor will advise you when to administer the drops.

Always wash your hands and shake the bottle well prior to taking your dose. Avoid allowing the dropper to touch any surfaces or make contact with your eye. This could contaminate the medication.

Remove any soft contact lenses before applying the eye drops. They may absorb the medication and prevent you from receiving your full dose. You can put them back in 15 minute after using the drops.

The proper way to use the eye drops to look upward and pull your lower eyelid to form a pocket. Hold the dropper above your eye and release a drop into the pocket. Gently close your eye and a finger on the corner of your eye next to your nose.

Apply slight pressure for a minute or two to prevent the liquid from dripping out. Repeat these steps if you need to treat both eyes. If you need to take a different medication, wait at least 5 minutes before using another eye drop.

Replace the dropper directly into the bottle once you have finished. It does not need to be washed or sanitized between doses. Use this as prescribed to see the best results from treatment. Keep taking this even if you feel well. Your symptoms will return if you stop treatment early.

    How Simbrinza works

Simbrinza is a combination of Brinzolamide and Brimonidine that work together to lower the amount of pressure in the eye. This helps your eyes perform their proper functions and prevents damage caused by excessive pressure.
