What is Sibelium used for?
Sibelium contains the active ingredient flunarizine. Sibelium is a brand but is also available as a generic. Both brand and generic work in the same way. Sibelium is used to prevent migraine attack with or without aura.
It has shown to reduce the frequency of migraine headaches and to a lesser extent, the severity of headaches when they occur. It is also used to treat vestibular vertigo.
Side effects of Sibelium are weight gain, drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth and heartburn. If you have a history of depression, consult your doctor before taking Sibelium. Do not drive or use machinery if this makes you drowsy.
You may need to stop taking this if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. There are no studies that ensure that it is safe. Contact your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment. If you miss a dose, you can take it when you remember. if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your schedule.
