What is Rybelsus used for?
Rybelsus is used to help manage high blood sugar for people with Type 2 Diabetes. This medication cannot manage the condition alone and requires proper diet and exercise.
Unmanaged high blood pressure can lead to blindness, kidney damage, Sexual dysfunction and loss of limbs. Controlling diabetes can also reduce your risk of heart attack or stroke. Rybelsus is similar to naturally occurring chemicals that cause an insulin reaction to sugar spikes. It also decreases the amount of sugar made by the liver.
Frequently Asked Questions About Rybelsus
Before taking Rybelsus, read the drug information leaflet included with the manufacturer's packaging. You can also consult with a doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions on how to take it and how often.
Rybelsus is taken orally with no more than half a cup of water. If you take any other beverages,or other oral medications, wait half an hour before taking a dose of Rybelsus. For the best results, eat within an hour of taking your dose. Each subsequent dose should be taken the same way.
Your dose may vary based on your conditional and how Rybelsus treatment affects you. Contact your doctor if your blood sugar levels do not improve or become worse.
If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor to make sure it is safe to take this. Contact your doctor if you experience serious side effects, such as shortness of breath.
Do not share Rybelsus with others even if they have similar symptoms. This may not be an effective treatment and can lead to side effects. Rybelsus is not recommended for adults with type one diabetes or patients using diabetes retinopathy.
