What is Incruse Ellipta Inhaler used for?

Incruse is a medication used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). To use Incruse, you inhale the medication into your lungs through your mouth using the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. COPD is a long-term condition that gets worse over time. Symtpoms include: cough, shortness of breath, coughing up mucus, and chest discomfort. Incruse has the active ingredient umeclidinium. Umeclidinium belongs to a group of medications called bronchodilators. It helps to open airways and makes it easier for air to get in and out of the lungs. With regular use, Incruse can help you to control breathing difficulties related to your disease and lessen the effects of your disease on your every day life. Do not use Incruse for asthma attacks, it is not a rescue inhaler. You will need to get a different quick-acting inhaler if you have attacks of breathlessness or wheezing.

    Incruse Ellipta Inhaler Information

How to Use Incruse Ellipta Inhaler?

Take Incruse exactly as your doctor instructs. Follow all directions on the prescription label and make sure you read the medication guide and instructions before use.

Incruse is a powder that comes with a special inhaler that is preloaded with blister packs that contain measured doses of the medication. The device opens and loads a blister of Incruse each time you use the inhaler device.

The usual dose is 1 inhalation daily. Try to use the medication at the same time daily and not more than once in a 24 hour period.

Incruse is not a rescue inhaler. It will not work quickly enough to help with a bronchospasm attack. Do not use Incruse for asthma attacks. Tell your doctor promptly if you notice your medications stop working adequately to control your COPD.

Do not stop Incruse without talking to your doctor, even if you feel fine. Do not take apart or clean the Incruse inhaler device. Always use the new device that’s provided with your refill.

Throw away the Incruse inhaler 6 weeks after you’ve taken it out of the foil pouch, or if the dose indicator shows zero. Whichever happens first.

    Incruse Ellipta Inhaler Drug Interactions?

Drug interactions can affect how well your medication works or leave you at a higher risk of side effects. Sometimes you’ll encounter interactions where you can never use the two medications together. Other times your doctor will be able to adjust the doses or take other precautions so that you can safely use two medications that would otherwise interact.

This is not an exhaustive list of drug interactions. You should give a list of all medications (including prescription, non-prescription, and herbal products) that you take. This will help your doctor to avoid negative interactions. If you have further questions about drug interactions you can reach out to our customer service team and ask to be transferred to a pharmacist at 1-844-416-4282.
