What is Eurax used for?
Eurax is a cream or lotion which contains the active ingredient crotamiton. It is used to relieve skin irritation and itching caused by various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, sunburn, hives, and chicken pox among others.
Eurax is for topical use only and should not be ingested. Apply a thin layer to every part of your skin including the bottom of your feet. Apply a dose once every 24 hours as directed by your doctor. Changed your clothing and bed linen between doses.
It should not be used in or around the eyes as it can cause conjunctival inflammation. It should not be applied to broken or inflamed skin.
Take a bath or shower 48 hours after the final application. This will remove any residual medication after it has produced its therapeutic effect. Inform your doctor of all your current prescription drugs to avoid an adverse reaction or unwanted side effects.
