What is Estring used for?

How to use Estring?

If the ring is inserted properly, you should not feel it while it is in place. If you experience any discomfort when the ring is inserted, it may mean that the ring is not inserted high enough.
Do not leave the ring in the vagina for more than 90 days.
If the ring falls out of the vagina, rinse the ring with warm water and re-insert the ring back into the vagina.
Possible side effects of Estring?
Possible side effects of Estring are bloating, increased vaginal discharge, nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, weight changes and headache. If these persist or worsen, you should let your doctor know.
Some serious side effects that may occur with Estring are unusual vaginal bleeding, unusual vaginal irritation/odor/discharge/itching, mood changes, breast lumps, severe abdominal pain, swelling of the hands and feet, increased thirst or urination. If any of these occur, you should tell your doctor immediately.
