    Coreg tablets are available as both brand and generic which both work in the same way. It is a beta blocker with alpha blocking activity used to treat heart failure and treat high blood pressure. It works by decreasing your heart rate. You may need to decrease your dose if your heart rate drops too low. Slowing your heart rate can reduce your risk of experiencing a second heart attack. Common side effects of Coreg are trouble breathing, shortness of breath, dry eyes, weight gain and dizziness.
