What is Entecavir used for?
Entecavir is an antiviral medication. Entecavir prevents the multiplication of certain virus cells in your body. Entecavir is prescribed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults and children. Entecavir does not cure hepatitis. It is unknown whether Entecavir can prevent liver cancer or cirrhosis.

What are side effects of Actonel?
Along with the intended effects, medication can also cause unwanted side effects. Though not all of these side effects will occur, some may require medical attention.
If any of the following side effects occur talk to your doctor immediately:

- Abdominal or stomach discomfort
- Cough
- Decreased appetite
- Diarrhea
- Difficulty with swallowing
- Dizziness
- Fast heartbeat
- Fast, shallow breathing
- General feeling of discomfort
- Hives, itching, or rash
- Muscle pain or cramping
- Nausea
- Puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
- Right upper abdominal or stomach pain and fullness
- Sleepiness
- Tightness in the chest
- Unusual tiredness or weakness
You may encounter some effects that don’t usually need medical attention. These side effects could go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medication. Your doctor may also be able to help you avoid these effects.

- Belching
- Headache
- Heartburn
- Indigestion
- Stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
