    What is Entecavir used for?

    Entecavir is an antiviral medication. Entecavir prevents the multiplication of certain virus cells in your body. Entecavir is prescribed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults and children. Entecavir does not cure hepatitis. It is unknown whether Entecavir can prevent liver cancer or cirrhosis.

    • Tightness in the chest
    • Unusual tiredness or weakness

    You may encounter some effects that don’t usually need medical attention. These side effects could go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medication. Your doctor may also be able to help you avoid these effects.
