    What is Angeliq used for?

Angeliq is a combination of estrogens and progestins used to help manage the hot flashes (sweating and flushing sensation), dryness, and itching associated with menopause. Vasomotor symptoms occur when a females’ body stops producing enough of the hormone estrogen. The combination works better to manage menopause symptoms than either would alone without increasing the risk of uterine cancer. This combination is not recommended for women who have their uterus removed as other drugs may be more effective without the risk of cancer.

    Angeliq Information

    How to Use Angeliq?

Before you take your first dose of Angeliq, and after each refill, carefully read and understand the drug information provided with the product. If you have any questions contact your doctor or pharmacist as correct use will provide the most benefit.

It is taken orally as often as recommended. It is swallowed whole, avoiding crushing, breaking or chewing the tablets as it may affect how the medicine is absorbed.

Inform your doctor if you experience unusual vaginal bleeding while taking Angelic as it may be an indication of uterine cancer. Angeliq may increase your risk of breast cancer, heart attack, blood clot or stroke. You may need to stop taking Angeliq if you require surgery or need long term bed rest.

While this can reduce the vaginal symptoms of menopause, drugs that are applied to (ie: a topical vaginal product) the vagina are likely more effective than oral tablets. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as angeliq can affect the quality and amount of breast milk.
