    How to Use Canasa?

This medication is to be used rectally. For the 1000mg strength insert rectally, usually once a day before bed. At a lower strength your doctor may instruct you to use this medication more often.

This medication will work best if you have a bowel movement before use. Unwrap the Canasa suppository immediately before usage and handle as little possible as warmth from your hands may cause it to melt.

Lay down on your left side with your right knee bent, insert the pointed end of the Canasa suppository into the rectum with your finger. If desired, use a small amount of lubricating gel. Remain lying down for a few minutes and avoid having a bowel movement for 1-3 hours. To get the best results use this medication consistently. Let your doctor know if your condition persists or gets worse.
