    What is Combigan used for?

Combigan (Brimonidine Tartrate, Timolol Maleate ophthalmic solution) is used to manage ocular hypertension (high pressure in the eye) caused by eye diseases including open angle glaucoma. Ocular hypertension can lead to eye pain and potentially blindness if left untreated. Combigan helps the eye remove excess liquid as part of it’s regular function. High pressure pressure can occur when fluids remain in the eye instead of flowing out as intended. It also decreases the amount of fluid produced in the eye to prevent symptoms.

    Combigan Information

    How to Use Combigan?

Before you start taking Combigan, and after every refill, carefully read and follow the instructions provided in the drug information material included with the product. If the instructions are unclear, or if you have any questions, call your doctor or pharmacist as proper use will provide the maximum benefit. They can provide medical advice including warnings and precautions.

If you wear contact lenses, they should be removed before taking combigan. Soft contact lenses can absorb the medication from the solution. Do not put them back in for 15 minutes after taking your dose.

Wash your hands with water before handling the bottle or dropper. Do not let the dropper touch any surfaces to prevent contamination. It does not need to be washed between doses. You can simply put the cap back on the bottle

If you need a different eye drop to manage symptoms, wait at least 10 minutes before using a different eye medication. Do not use Combigan if you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as it can worsen your condition. You may need to use a different drug to treat glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

This is not meant to be used by children under 2 years of age due to a risk of side effects that are mild to adults but potentially serious in children. If you are pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor to determine if Combigan can contaminate breast milk.
